Why I Turned My Podcast Into a Self Help Book

Writer: Eirian Naomi OmidEirian Naomi Omid

A few years ago, I gave podcasting a try. And first of all, let me just say that podcasting is not easy and the people who do it are truly talented, and disciplined.

But I didn’t have that appreciation for podcasters until I gave it a try myself.

I didn’t ever have guests, just talked in a room by myself about healing from trauma.

And, surprisingly, it was well received. What started out as EirianWrites and the Goddess Experience and ended as The Goddess Frame of Mind really seems to connect with the right people.

But, at some point, I had to stop. Turns out that the catharsis of talking about my trauma had an end.

Not only did I eventually run out of things to talk about, but the toll of the recording and posting schedule became too much.

And, through all this, I wasn’t writing.

Thankfully, however, I did have all of my podcast scripts written down. (I’m pretty sure you can hear the pages of my notebook turning in most of the episodes.)

So, I compiled all the original episodes that included self-help exercises, as well as all the affirmation episodes into a book.

It’s called The Goddess Frame of Mind, and it is by far one of the best projects I have ever published.

I hope you enjoy it.
